Ptarmigan operated in Tallinn from 2011-2014. We no longer maintain any presence in Tallinn, but this website will continue to serve as an archive of the activities produced at Ptarmigan during these years.
Mindaugas Gapševičius (b. 1974) is an artist, facilitator, and curator. He earned his MA at Vilnius Academy of Arts in 1999 and started his PhD at Goldsmiths University in 2010. The work of Mindaugas Gapševičius is to be associated with net art, software and interactive user interface. The artist conceptualizes the flow of digital information, analyzes its inner logic and modes of application.
Mindaugas (aka Miga) will be spearheading the (Il)legal Aesthetics programme at Ptarmigan this spring. His residency is supported by Kulturkontakt Nord's Mobility Programme.
